On January 22 2021, the milestone victory of the Treaty on the Prohibition of Nuclear Weapons came into force making Nuclear Weapons illegal in International Law.
This hope-filled documentary charts the phenomenal efforts for eradicating nuclear weapons; from survivors of Hiroshima to young British Buddhists and the International Campaign to Abolish Nuclear Weapons. All linked over several decades and internationally to build to this historic moment, the short film takes us from the horror of nuclear weapons to the value of solidarity and never giving up.
This screening will be accompanied by a pre-recorded Q&A discussion with director Maeve Murphy, Director of SGI-UK Robert Harrap, participant Sanya Rajpal and co-producer Tania Porqueddo.
