Rob Coleman is
the senior effects director on Star Wars Episode I Attack Of The
Clones and was nominated for an Oscar nomination for Star Wars Episode
II, The Phantom Menace. In this special effects presentation Rob
will reveal how Industrial Light and Magic have created their famous
spectacular effects. |
This event is one of the highlights of the festival
and is open to everyone. There will be a chance to ask questions afterwards
so don't miss your chance to see and hear one of the worlds leading
experts working in the film industry.

Stephen
Frears is one of the most celebrated film Directors working in
the film industry to-day.After
studying law at Cambridge, Frears became interested in the stage
and it wasn't until 1966 that he became interested in film, when
Karl Reisz offered him a job as an assistant director. |
His break through film My Beautiful Laundrette
was released in 1985 and his trademarks of excellent performances, witty
dialogue and beautiful imagery have dominated all of his films since
including: Dangerous Liaisons, The Grifters, Sammie and Rosie Get Laid,
High-Lo Country, High Fidelity and Liam.

born David Holmes
has worked on a number of music ventures since he began DJing at
the age of 15.
Embarking on several projects within the music industry, Hollywood
eventually caught up with Holmes when Director Steven Soderbergh
asked to him come onboard to
produce the soundtrack to the rat pack caper, "Ocean's Eleven".

Kate Adie
became the BBC’s Chief News Correspondent in 1989. Since then
she has covered major international crises, including the Gulf War,
conflicts in former Yugoslavia and events in the Gulf, Armenia,
Albania, Rwanda, Kosovo, China and Sierra Leone. |
Many of her earlier foreign reports came
from the world’s major trouble spots. She has won numerous broadcasting
awards and accolades during her distinguished career; for her coverage
of Northern Ireland, the American bombing of Tripoli and the student
uprising in China in 1989. She is a Fellow of both the Institute of
Journalists and the Royal Television Society, and was awarded the OBE
in 1993.
Her broadcasting career with the BBC started
in January 1968 when she joined local radio in Durham as a studio technician.
She moved to BBC Radio Bristol in 1970 as a producer specialising in
farming and arts programmes before joining TV outside broadcasts to
direct sport and religious programme. Kate joined BBC TV news in 1979
from BBC regional TV, having been a reporter in Plymouth, Southampton
and Brighton. She covered general news stories for the network, including
many overseas, and spent two years as Court Correspondent.

as Boy George, XTC and OMD. Her feature film debut, Onegin
